Watching him was painful.
That day when he turned into what she believed was a demon - two sharp, jagged black wings and branches made of ink extending from his back, his eyes a bloody shade of red and controlled by something that was entirely inhuman.
It was so, so painful.
That was what she said, at least. Not to him, of course - Shinoa would never admit to it. Even though it hurt him a little that she didn't tell him, Yuu never really realized just how much pain she was truly in until now.
Watching her was painful.
With eyes that were like a cat's and a personality of someone mentally insane, he had watched as she was forced to carry the burden of two cursed weapons - too late to stop the transformation because it was already done.
He watched her lips curl upwards in a maniacal smile as she cackled, and he felt himself break inside.

This is just an idea I have, and I'm not really sure whether I'll make it into a full story or not. If you think I should, tell me in the reviews! But for now, I'll leave this as is, and as always, hope you enjoyed!
EDIT: So for those of you who are wondering whether Shinoa has been possessed by two demons or just one, I'd like to confirm that for now no one really knows. If this becomes a full story I'd like to let Yuu figure that out first along with a few other things, so that's why I didn't really make it clear. It could be one demon possessing her while the other tries to take control, they both could be working together and letting one drive, or both could be controlling her at the same time. Of course, they are other possibilities I have in mind, but I'll keep them to myself for now. As always, hope you liked this!
EDIT 2: So, I've gotten a few reviews about people wanting me to continue this, and honestly I think I will. Although it will take a while (I have to rewatch the series for recaps and junk, and also because inspiration and motivation can be pains in the butt sometimes), I'll try my best to update this and have its quality be either just as good or better (hopefully the latter). So yeah. Stay tuned for my next update!
*also, for those waiting for the next chapters of ALL my other stories, progress is a bit slow but I am getting there. Right now I think I'm focusing on Across the Realms, Almost as if it was Love (maybe), Corruption, probably Gone, and The Good, The Bad, and A Little Bit of Magic.
