"Toy story or monsters Inc?"
"What?" Myers carefully placed the steaming vat of chili on the scraped metal of the dresser before turning to face his friend.
"Which one is the best pixar movie?" Hellboy mumbled over his shoulder. The big red monkey was currently on his knees digging trough a box of DVD's with his left hand. In his right he held up the aforementioned choices, waving them belligerently over his shoulder.
"Are you serious?" Myers raised an eyebrow; there was no way Hellboy was really asking him about Disney movies.
His friend turned around just enough for Myers to see the look of total seriousness in his eyes.
"No Boy-scout, I'm asking cause I feel like wasting the oxygen. Just doing my part to help the world meet an untimely death."
"Uh, I kinda like Monsters Inc. better." John shrugged his shoulders.
"Why?"
"It has a nice moral lesson about how we treat other people, based on looks, stuff like that." Myers replied nonchalantly.
"Morals? Myers, you watch theses movies for the morals? You know that's just sad right?" Hellboy turned around and continued to dig trough the box.
"Well why do you watch them?" John was in no mood to defend his choices, especially choices pertaining to this particular asinine conversation. It was just a Disney movie, why did it matter why he choose to watch it?
"Just cause, Boy-scout, I like them." Hellboy's nonchalant reply was a little to forced for Myers to believe him.
"No way Red, you made me tell you, I told you and you mocked me, so now you have to tell me the real reason why you like these movies so much." Myers figured there had to be a special reason Hellboy kept these particular movies on hand, most of Hellboy's collection consisted of things like Scarface and Rambo.
"The freaks always do the right thing, they do the right thing and they always win." His friend muttered, hunched over the box of DVD's, almost ashamed to be admitting his true reason.
John laughed, which caused Hellboy to whip his head around to face Myers, a definite hurt being barely concealed in his eyes.
"What's so funny Myers?"
Myers shrugged and, with a gentile smile to his friend, pointed to the blanket-covered form, curled up, sound asleep, on Hellboy's bed. "Hate to point it out to you Red but I think you did win."
Hellboy crept up to the back of the Ford that made his bed and gazed affectionately down at his girlfriend. Liz was sleeping soundly with a contented smile on her face; in her arms a tabby kitten purred its agreement with the sleeping girl's happiness.
"Ya, I think I did win."
