The Legend Of AKIHIKO

Preface.

Hello, I'm Akihiko, Or Aki. When I was sixteen my village was invaded by a rebel group of benders known as "The Elite" They destroyed our village and took my parents as prisoners; they risked their lives to let me escape. The Elite believe that bending should only be allowed when a person is "Full-blooded" Anyone without at least three generations of benders in the family were considered unworthy of bending.

Only the Avatar could help our village and free my parents, But with Avatar Korra in hiding a long journey lay before me…

The Escape.

Creeping through the slowly filling pipe I noticed banging behind me; I turned to see one of The Elite. She stood staring at me, her whole body covered in a black robe and a scarf up to her nose. She tossed a hand in the air and a jet of water spat at me knocking me to the ground. She proceeded to attack, knocking me down each time.

Moments passed and I had found the way out of the sewer onto dry land, My opponent was following, thinking fast I rubbed my hands and pushed them towards the water in the pipe, Lightening leapt from my hands, charging the water and pushing her high into the air, being knocked out in the process.

I stumbled up the hill and got to the edge of the woods. There I heard screaming, A small girl ran to me grabbing hold of my leg, I looked up to see more members of The Elite coming towards me. Fire spat into the air almost hitting the girl if I'd not bent it away from us. With three strikes of electricity the men were defeated and the Girl's parents set free, they said thank you quickly before making their escape.

I walked into the woods and for one last time looked down at my home, it lay burnt in ruins. I'd spent sixteen years there, it was home and comfort. There were benders of all kinds there, everyone lived in harmony, benders or not you were welcomed.

Night fell as I wandered through the forest, I'd made a flame in my hand to guide the way through the dark moonless night. The forest was alive with the sound of crickets that sang in perfect harmony together, Owls could be heard in the soft breeze. A tear filled my eye as I thought of my parents. I will free them, No matter what it takes.
