And as Serena ran through the night, 4 beautiful people got a horrible feeling in their gut.
Blair groaned as she looked at the centre sleeping bag, empty. She looked around: Nate, Chuck, and Jenny were still there. Of course it would be Serena! She shook her head in annoyance as the thought comprehended to her that Serena ditched them. She looked around and groaned with annoyance under her breath. She was so bored!
Nate woke up soon after. He looked at Blair; he loved her when she looked like this. Her hair was messy and without product. Her face was makeup free and natural and she just wore a tank top and shorts. She looked over at him. "Nate" she whispered, as to not wake up the others "where's Serena?"
However he also loved Serena. She was so happy and fun and...didn't care what anyone thought of her. If he had to be honest he loved Serena more than Blair. He looked into the middle. Serena was gone.
Chuck woke up and saw Blair and Nate awake too, and whispering. He crawled over, noting Serena wasn't there. "Where's Serena?" Chuck hissed startling them. "God Chuck!" Blair whispered, dramatically clutching her chest "go ahead give me a heart attack!" Chuck rolled his eyes at her antics. Nate laughed softly at the two of them " Chuck we don't know" he answered. Chuck inhaled softly. "Nathaniel, Waldorf. This is not good". He looked at Blair; Nate should be with Serena. Blair needed someone who could...challenge her intelligence. Someone like, oh I don't know, Chuck Bass?
Jenny woke up and saw everyone else up and whispering quietly. She glanced into the middle. Serena was missing. "Oh my god!" she gasped out loud, causing the 3 heads to turn in her direction. "Good. Your up. We need to talk" Blair said. "Did you ,by any chance, drag Serena outside and kill her?" Chuck and Nate startled. "N-no!" Jenny stammered before narrowing her eyes. She knew how to challenge Blair. "Actually Blair I could ask the same for you!" Blair cocked an eyebrow "what do you mean, Humphrey?"
Jenny inhaled. "I-I don't know! You've been up longer than me! How am I meant to know you didn't drag her outside!?" Blair's eyes widened and she lunged at Jenny but chuck and Nate restrained her. There was a horrible scream that went on for ages. Blair's eyes widened. "SERENA!" she yelled and stood up to run for the door. Chuck restrained her quickly. "No Blair don't" he said urgently. Blair writhed and struggled. "She needs us!" she wailed, attempting to elbow him in the gut. "Blair he might go after you next."
Blair let a tear roll down her cheek before openly crying. This shocked and scared Nate, chuck and Jenny as Blair was the strongest.
"Blair it's ok" Jenny said leaning into the now hug. Nate finished it by wrapping his arms around his 3 best friends.
Chuck gently ran his fingers through Blair's hair to soothe her. "B we're the non judging breakfast club. We all love you. And Serena does to" he murmured. Eventually the sobs stopped and she nestles into chuck. "Thanks" she whispered "I need a friend". He looked down at her with dark, sad eyes. "Anytime Waldorf"
Blair could have sworn she heard Serena laugh and if Blair concentrated really hard she could have sworn another pair of arms would wrap around the bunch.
