GONE ASTRAY

The place was like a wide room. The ground was there, but it wasn't. If one looked down, all they'd see would be a thick fog unpenitrable by the human eye. A throne sat at the front of the room, but it was covered by a heavey darkness so if someone where sitting there, he or she wasn't visible.

A quiet noise of scuffling feet sounded off in the distance. It grew louder and louder as they approached. Two women and two men stood now before the throne. Their faces of the darkest expression.

"Welcome," greeted a soft and calming, yet powerful voice from the man who sat on the throne.

"Who are you?!" yelled a man named Carlos, "I demand to know!"

"What are we doing here?!" added a teenager named Juni.

"Yes!" agreed, Carlos, "I demand to know!"

"And I as well!" shouted the Juni.

"Juni, Carlos," said the man on the throne, still very calm, "Welcome. Welcome to your Judgement Day."

"Judgement day!?" the two said in unison.

Then they got angry.

"What right," Carlos yelled, "What right do you have to judge us!? You have not suffered what we have suffered! You don't know what it's like to live on Earth! Why, on Earth, I was living in Afghanistan and my entire family starved to death. We were all nothing but skin and bones and I held my two year old daughter in my arms... she was all I had left. You could see the entire outline of her ribs because she was soo small. She took her last breath three days before I did..." Carlos broke off there, too angry to continue.

Then young Juni spoke up. "I was persicuted for being Jewish. For being born into my family! On my seventeenth birthday, I got a job working at a factory. I headed out by train... We were herded like cattle onto this train and taken to a factory. It was not what they made it out to be. They took us, all Jewish people of every age, and preformed gruesome and horrifying tests on us. I was there for two days and then I was sent to a gas chamber. I couldn't breathe and my vision was all foggy. I wasn't alone though. Oh, no... I was with twenty others. Some of them were puking up blood in the corner while others scratched at the walls; a desperate and hopeless attempt at escape." Juni stood there, shuddering at her horrifying memories, her face reflecting pure anger and hatred.

"So before you are allowed to judge us fairly, or even at all, you must meet these conditions."

"The first one," Juni spoke out, "You must go live on Earth. Be born under suspicious circumstances."

"You must be poor," Carlos said, "and have a scarce amount of food to eat."

"You must be shunned and cursed at," Juni said, "Made fun of and be called names."

"You must then die at an early age," Carlos said. "You must die by crucifixtion and have everybody laugh at you."

"Only then you will know what it is like to go through what we had to go through."

To the surprisement of the two, the throne and it's occupant began to glow in a pure white light. Finally they could see the man. It was Jesus Christ and he was beautiful.

A tear fell from Jesus' eye as he looked at the two bewildered people. Sheep gone astray. Jesus was crying. He wasn't crying for himself, he cried for them. For these two precious members of his flock were gone astray from the rest and they had no hope to return.

"My poor precious flock..." Jesus said in his soft voice.

Instantly, the wide room became dark and the fog swirled up around Juni and Carlos. Like a giant tidal wave, the fog crashed down on the two people and sucked them under. Because of their spiteful and hateful ways, Juni and Carlos has bought themselves a one way ticket to live in damnation for the rest of eternity.
