Disclaimer: I don't own Glee. I had this idea pop up in my head in Italian I. So I don't know if I am going to continue it. Reviews would help with my decision. (:

Jesse St. James sat on his bed with the lights off. The only light coming was from his large window in the huge room. It cast a light around the Regionals trophy on his dresser. Giving it an aura of happiness, but is not what Jesse felt about it.
He sighed deeply and placed his head in his hands. He couldn't believe that Vocal Adrenaline had won again. Sure over the years they were the best but this year he didn't believe that. On the inside he had always wanted to win four Regionals Championships but he was certain this year they didn't deserve it.
New Directions did. They were amazing, so much better than Vocal Adrenaline in his mind. If you asked his teammates then they would say that New Directions sucked or that they had no talent. Jesse knew none of these were true. New Directions was a family and they looked out for each other. Vocal Adrenaline not so much.
Even when Jesse was apart of New Directions he felt like a member of the family. Even he told them otherwise. It took everything to leave them. It took everything plus more to leave Rachel.
Even when he was holding that egg in his hand. Questioning himself, he look at his teammates. Egging him on. No pun intended. Then he look deep into Rachel's eyes and said those few words that he would always regret.
"I loved you." Which was a lie he never stopped. Even if this was just a mission to destroy her. Then he cracked that egg over her head. That's when he truly knew he was a monster.
"Why I do it?" He whispered to himself. He kept his eyes on that trophy. The finally after punishing himself enough. He laid back on the pillows. He turned his head towards his nightstand and saw the pictures of him and Rachel at the movies. It was four black and white photos in a strip.
The first one was of Rachel playing with his hair. The second of them making funny faces. The third of them smiling happily and the last one was Jesse's favorite. It was of him kissing Rachel's cheek and she was surprised but happy. He wanted it too be like that again but he knew it couldn't.
He grabbed the picture frame. He had one custom made to fit it. He held t tight against his chest. He wanted to cry so bad. But the monster within him wouldn't let him. He fell asleep with it in his arms. All he kept dreaming of was Rachel's face when he cracked that egg over her head.
He awoke in the morning to a thunderstorm rattling his open window. He got up groggily and closed it. He laid back in the king size bed and place the picture frame back on the nightstand. He then grabbed his phone. Looking at the missing messages.
Most of them were from his teammates. But there was one that stood out the most. It was spelt with six letters. It almost made him jump. Rachel. She had sent her congratulations. He stared at his phone with wide eyes for another few seconds before turning it off.
"I wish congratulations was the right word Rachel but it isn't." He said in a low voice as if the trophy could hear him. "It is all wrong."
