Ino was sick of their routine. Every day, it stayed the same. Sakura would fawn over Sasuke-kun, Lee would stand to the side dejectedly and wait for the moment Sakura was finished so he could fawn over her. It annoyed Ino to have to wait to glomp Sasuke-kun until Sakura was too distracted by Lee to stop Ino in time. Then there'd the be requisite screaming match between the two kunoichi until their voices gave out, or one of their teammates got up the nerve to separate them. Usually, it was the former.

What really bothered Ino, though, was that Sakura had admirerers. Even if they were only Lee and Naruto (the latter had been more focused on that shy Hyuuga girl lately, so Ino wasn't too bothered by him anymore), that was still two more people vying for Sakura than there were for Ino. She was incredibly relieved when Naruto started professing his love for "Hinata-chan" instead (it needn't be mentioned that Hinata felt a bit more positively about this than Ino), and gave up on Sakura.

So then there was just Sakura, Ino, Sasuke-kun and Lee in a four-way love rectangle of a sort. It really wasn't fair at all, Ino thought, for Sakura to have a monopoly over more than one boy (despite the fact that Sasuke-kun still hadn't given either of them the time of day). Lee was persistent, though, Ino could admire that. Just as persistent as she and Sakura were about Sasuke-kun.

She had always prided herself on her superior spying ability, and felt that a close, anonymous watch on the situation would come in handy (the trail of people who kept waking up in unusual places never caught the attention of the authorities). Sakura did seem fond of Lee, so maybe she could be pushed into being just a bit fonder... After all, Ino had to admit he was a very nice boy.

Still, not much changed after that. At least not until one day, when it was Ino's chance to glomp Sasuke... she glomped Lee-kun instead.

Notes: ...I can't believe I wrote InoLee. It's a sad excuse for InoLee, but it was originally part of a very ambitious fic promised to Eve, only I forgot the rest of the fic because I didn't write down the plot, and so now it's just this. Still for Eve, though, who came up with InoLee and disturbs me constantly with it.
