An Alternate ending to Cathy Cassidy's Driftwood.

I own nothing!

Starts from Page 190, Paragraph 3.

Nobody else is on the beach, just me and Paul. He looks at me for a long time, and I have to look away before I do anything embarrassing and silly, like blush.

'Your hair's different!' I exclaim as he rests his arm across my shoulder.

'That's not all that's different,' he whispers against my cheek as he stops. His hands move up to my face, fingers tracing the shape of my cheek softly, as though he hasn't seen me in years.

'This has changed too' he moves his face closer to mine, our breath intermingling, and he kisses me. It's wonderful, and tastes of happiness and sea salt and Paul. We pull apart after what seems like a decade and we stare at each other. A grin appears on his face and he reaches out and he grabs my hand, turns around and pulls me up the beach.

I guess beach magic works after all…
