This is a oneshot with Yumi from "HiHi Puffy AmiYumi" and Zoro from "One Piece". I made up the pairing... I really like it, I don't know why. It's a wee bit of an obsession, I guess. Anyways. Rated M for violence and gore.

It was inspired by a piece of artwork by CaptainSpaz over on I highly recommend you check out her stuff, she's very talented and unique.

"Just move on!" Yumi shouted. "I have."

Zoro stared back at her, mouth open in disbelief. Her arms were at her side, not crossed like he thought they would be, knowing her. Good thing for him.

He couldn't believe what she was doing. She had done all the work. She had worked for months to get his attention, to win him over. She finally had him. She had him for a year. Then she decided that she had found someone else.

After all that hard work. It didn't change who Yumi was. She was never the romantic type. Love - true love - was so not her thing.

"What are you going to do?" Her voice seemed to dare him to do it.

So he did.

Unable to let his usual common sense restrain the physical strength he had worked hard for (as hard as she had worked for his love), he reached forward. Zoro's hand plunged into Yumi's chest. Bones, ribs, snapped, some of them in half. Some stuck out of her chest. Those ones only increased in the red blood that gushed out of the wound around Zoro's hand. It ran down his arm, staining his shirt red.

The bones scratched his skin. His blood mingled with hers. Their life force mixing, forming a solution. You would never be able to get Zoro's blood out of Yumi's, just how you would never take Yumi out of his life. This was how she was to die and this was how he wanted it.

She wasn't alive long enough to see her heart held out in front of her. Instead, her look of pure shock was frozen on her face as she fell backwards. The impact of her fall only encouraged more blood to pour out of the wound. There wasn't much life.

Zoro, now perfectly calm, looked down at the organ in his hand. Bright red, funny shape, very wet. He looked down at Yumi with a look of slight pity. But that was gone soon, too.

Besides…

She wasn't using it anyway.
