Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by Our Tangled Webs, Flying Lessons: Brooms Assignment, and Grateful Grouches on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Our Tangled Webs I wrote for the pairing of Oliver/Viktor. For Flying Lessons: Brooms Assignment I wrote for Task 11 Tinderblast which was to write about a foreigner. For Grateful Grouches I wrote for Help Pansy try to win Draco's heart and the task was to write about trying to impress someone. I hope you all enjoy Trying to Impress.

Viktor Krum looking around himself as he entered the conference for International Quidditch Superstars. This was the first ever conference of it's like that he'd ever remembered hearing about anyway. The letter he'd gotten a few months ago said it was supposed to be like sports camp sort of thing. He didn't really get it but thought that it would be the perfect time for him show off some of his skills to some of peers.

Looking around the Quidditch Pitch he could see many people out to impress all the others. He knew some of them by name. Like Lynch from the Ireland team he'd played a few years ago at the Quidditch World Cup. Lynch was lazily flying in a loop the loop while waiting for the person hosting this 'camp' to get there.

"Viktor Krum?" a British voice came from behind him. "Right?" The boy blush a pink which made him look pretty in a way Viktor knew he shouldn't be thinking of another boy in. "You were Seeker for the Bulgarian team during the Quidditch World Cup?"

Viktor nodded. "That's me," he stated in his thick Bulgarian accent. "What team do you play for?" Viktor hoped he hadn't put his foot in his mouth with that question. After all you never knew when you could be talking to a team's owner.

"I'm the new Seeker for Puddlemore United," the boy stated the blush deepen a bit. "Oliver Wood."

"I've heard of you, Wood," Viktor stated as looked the boy, no man, in front of up and down. "You won that game a few months back by falling off your broom onto the Quaffle?"

The blush darkened even more if that was possible. "That's me," Oliver sighed. "I couldn't think of any other way to stop the Quaffle so I decided if I was going to do something. It just so happened to be something stupid. But it worked." He chuckled to himself. "Thank, God, our Seeker found the Snitch very easily after that."

Viktor laughed. "I've had those games too," he told Oliver. "They don't usually advertise my more interesting moves."

"Tell me more," Oliver stated.

Viktor wracked his mind for something that would impress Oliver Wood. Anything that would impress him. A blush colored his face too as the image of his ever match came to mind. "My first ever match I dove at such an angel that my broom was stuck into the earth," Viktor stated. "Or so they tell me. I'd fallen off and knocked myself unconscious. I was after all a first year in Drumstrang."

A look of admiration came across Oliver's face as he looked Viktor up and down. Then the host of the conference decided to finally show his face calling all of the Quidditch player to attention.

"Perhaps you can tell me more about your first Quidditch match at dinner?" Oliver hinted hopefully. "I'd really like to get to know you better, Viktor Krum."

"I'd really like to get know you better too, Oliver Wood." A smile stretched Viktor's face as thought up other ways he could try to impress Oliver Wood too.

I hope you all enjoyed Trying to Impress.
