A/N: Ok, to start off, this fic was based on a challenge. The first chapter is pretty short, but it will get longer.
Disclaimer: I don't own the show, the song "She's Always A Woman" by Billy Joel, or anything else you might recognize.
Chapter 1: She's Always A Woman
She
can kill with a smile She can lead you to live Oh, she
takes care of herself She will promise you more She is frequently kind
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin
your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she
wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she's always a
woman to me
She can take you or
leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
you
And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free
She
steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of
her time
Oh, and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She
just changes her mind
Than the
Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while
you're bleedin'
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you
can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she's always a woman to
me
And she's suddenly cruel
She
can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
But she can't be
convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is
throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
"Tommy?" My heart raced as I heard the soft piano music coming from down the hall. True to the word of the maid at the door, there was someone in the room, and my heart skipped a beat as my eyes surveyed the figure. Tommy…. The love of my life, the man I had skipped my tour and my record release party for… the man who left me standing in the street, sobbing, with no explanation. But… he must've had some kind of explanation… he couldn't have just left me like that, could he? And what about that guy he was driving off with? I mean, he was practically fighting off tears himself… ugh, I can't think about this. Please, say something…you didn't come all the way to Montana to black out… "Tommy? I-is that you?" I managed to choke out. Real smart… He looked up at me, his icy blue eyes the same as the last time I saw him; glassy, and filled with tears. Tears for me, maybe? Hey, a girl could hope… My brain was screaming at me to stay where I was, to not move closer to him, but I couldn't help it as my feet started moving closer to his figure, like a magnetic pull. I couldn't stop myself, and soon I was standing in front of him, and he was mirroring me.
"Jude…"
