Freddie Benson was a logical person. He knew when something didn't add up.
He turned to his- he turned to Sam.
"So, we like kissing each other?"
Sam nodded.
"And we like dating each other?"
Sam wasn't sure where he was going with this, but again she nodded.
"And we're in love with each other."
This time it wasn't a question, but it was met with and affirmative answer anyway.
"But we're breaking up?"
She turned towards him, giving her full attention.
"Well yeah, at midnight remember, we both decided."
"But why? It doesn't make sense. If we love each other and we have so much chemistry, why are we ending it?"
"Carly said-"
"She wasn't talking to us, and even if she was it shouldn't matter. She even said she didn't know what she was talking about. We were working just fine until we started listening to her."
There was a moment of silence as Sam thought about what he'd said.
"Why are we breaking up then?"
He smiled, glad that she agreed.
"That's just it, I think we got so caught up in what Carly was saying and our own insecurities about changing our relationship that we thought what she said applied to us."
"Well then, maybe we shouldn't break up."
He nodded. "That would make more sense. I love you."
Instead of replying, she leaned in and sealed it with a kiss.
