A Broken Pot
Neville pulled a mandrake plant out of the pot, wincing and getting it to a new one quickly. He'd gotten past the point of passing out, so that was good.
"Splendid, Neville!" Professor Sprout smiled and patted her prodigy on the back. "You really have a knack for plants!" Neville grinned.
"Thank you mam." Neville turned towards the other plants, looking over them and taking note of what they needed.
"Why do you need to go to the Greenhouse?" Luna asked, tilting her head. "Did you leave something there?" Chuckling a bit, the fifth year nudged her friend.
"Because I have to catch up on the assignment you guys did today! I was helping Professor McGonagall, remember?" Ginny smiled. "And Neville should be there, so I won't be completely bored. Well, I should go now. See you at dinner!"
"Ah, Ginevra!" Professor Sprout clapped her hands together, creating a cloud of dirt. "I need to get a few things from Hagrid, but please do start with your plant! Neville can help if you need it!" Professor Sprout hurried out of the door, leaving Ginny an Neville alone.
"Hey Ginny." Ginny smiled at Neville and went to work on her plant.
"Why do you always come here after classes?" Ginny asked, still working.
"I love Herbology I guess." Neville looked over. "No, no, no!" Ginny stopped, looking up at Neville, who had crossed the floor to stand next to her. "You should shift the soil before using a sun charm." Neville coughed. "I, ugh, didn't mean to be rude."
"It's fine. Can you show me how to shift the soil properly?" Neville nodded, weary of Ginny's tone. He gave a quick demonstration and went back to his plants. After several moments of silence he looked over to see Ginny pulling off her gloves. "So what exactly are you doing?" Ginny walked over to Neville, "with these."
"I'm um, I'm just making sure they're a-all you know, growing." Ginny smiled at him.
"You seem nervous." Ginny grinned, "Really nervous." Neville exhaled, before backing up.
"Ron would kill me."
"I'd kill him first." Ginny grinned, Neville was in a corner of the Greenhouse now, heartbeat frantic and mind racing. "Do you want to?" Neville nodded. Of course he did.
"Yeah," Neville turned them around, and Ginny sat on a table. "I do."
Ginny giggled as Neville kissed her neck. She ran her fingers up his chest, stopping to slide his robe off. Neville ran his fingers through her hair, tilting her head up for a kiss.
"Mm." Neville moaned into the kiss, pulling Ginny closer to him. In the process, he accidentally knocked a plant over. "Crap!" At the sound of Professor Sprouts voice, they both ran out of the Greenhouse through the storage room.
"That was fun." Ginny grinned. "We should do it again sometime. Maybe in Snape's room even." Ginny laughed watching Neville pale.
"Definitely not Snape's room." Neville paused. "But we should do that again, if you want to, and Ron can't know. Or Fred or George. Or your dad, or-" Ginny kissed Neville, effectively silencing him.
"Next weekend, Greenhouse again?" Neville nodded, "See you then!"
