I do not own Vocaloid or this fabulous, fabulous song.

Okay, so I was going around listening to ALOT of 'Rolling Girl' by Hatsune Miku. So I decided to write a fanfiction about what I think it's talking about. P.S Is there supposed to be some sort of guy's version or something? I keep on trying to find one.

Odd one out.

She was used to it. She was never asked to play with the other children, she never fitted in and she was fine with it. She didn't care, right?

Right?

Failure. What did those words mean, really, and how do you fail? She tried so hard. But no one cared, all that mattered was that she failed.

She was called crazy. Insane. Tormented by her fellow students for being so, so different. But honestly, why is different bad?

She took to climbing a very steep hill in a secluded place near where she lived. It was like life. She never got to the top, no matter how many times she rolled down. She would return home battered and bruised, bleeding as well. She would get scolded harshly, and probably beaten. But she didn't care, right?

Right?

He always asks the same thing. "Are you okay now?"

She always replies, "Not yet, the future is still nowhere in sight. so I'm going to hold my breath for now."

They never spoke apart from that.

After a stressful day, she'd go to the hill and try. Just one more time. And another one. A few more, after that.

Days passed. She couldn't take it anymore. She knew that getting away from all this would be oh so easy.

The rooftop. Lunch time. Everyone left, because no one wanted to be near the weird girl, right?

Right?

Except for him. He could read her like an open book.

He just stood there, and asked, "Are you okay now?"

She put her hands around his neck, and tried to crush.

But she couldn't do it. He was smiling.

She collapsed to her knees. "Just a bit more, I'll see something soon. I'm going to hold my breath, for now."

Tears rolled down her cheeks. Just like her, the Rolling Girl.

He frowned while brushing away a few of her tears, and went on his knees. Hugging her.

"I will roll today, too," she murmured.

His words froze her.

"Are you alright now? It's okay. You must be tired, right?"

I want to stop breathing. Now...

OH LOOKY HERE, IT'S A BIG BUNDLE OF FAIL. Geez, I suck at dramatic stuff. /headdesk
