"Takano," Morii called out in a singsong voice.

"What?"

"I have an idea. If you can propose to Sunako, and get her to accept, I'll give you five hundred dollars and all the fried shrimp you can eat!"

"No way. Never." he said but the money was tempting. Plus he did like fried shrimp… but no. Proposing to that thing. It just wasn't possible.

"How about seven hundred?"

"Why the hell are you doing this?"

"We're all bored. There's nothing to do."

"Make it seven hundred and fifty."

"Done."

With that, Takano left the room. Morii smiled to himself. There was no better entertainment than watching an idiot get killed by Sunako.

Takano walked up to the door of Sunako's room and knocked on the door. He didn't even wait for a reply. He just walked straight in. Sunako didn't even hear the door opening. She was completely absorbed by the horror movie that was playing. It looked like someone was being murdered.

Suddenly, she noticed the light. She screamed and dived under a blanket. "Too radiant! My eyes burn!"

He walked over to her and lifted the blanket off her. She had an epic nosebleed. Great. Just great. He wiped the blood off his face with his sleeve. It was kind of gross when she did that.

He got down on one knee. "Sunako Nakahara will you marry me?"

He was replied with a kick to the face. "Get out!" she screamed. "Radiant beings are not welcome here."

He had to think of a new plan.

He walked into the kitchen where Sunako was working. He stood behind her and grabbed her hands. She stopped chopping and turned around.

He swore she was foaming at the mouth. He only narrowly avoided being sliced up. As he left, she threw a knife at him. He ducked, but he had felt the air rush past his face. This was getting dangerous.

While they were eating dinner, the atmosphere was frosty. Sunako was ignoring all of them and, every little while, she would send a death stare Takano's way. Yuki was shaking. Nobody could blame him. It was pretty scary. If looks could kill, she would be a mass murderer.

Takano had one last plan. If that didn't work, he was giving up.

He entered Sunako's room, desperately hoping this would work. As soon as he stepped in the door, she hissed like an angry cat and yelled "Radiant beings are not allowed in my sanctuary. This is a place of darkness!"

Again, he got down on one knee. She was about to kick him again until she saw the ring. It was black and had a skull on it. She stared at it for a moment, captivated, then realised it was the radiant being who was giving this to her. As cool as it was, she couldn't wear anything tainted by someone radiant. She kicked him in the face and kept on watching her movie.

Back in the kitchen, Takano was getting an ice-pack for his face. He saw Morii sitting down drinking tea. He was smirking. "You bastard. You knew she wouldn't accept."

"Do you wanna know a secret?" whispered Morii. Takano nodded and leaned in close. "I never had seven hundred and fifty dollars."
