So, I was discussing this with Miss-Misto and she agreed it was a good idea. I also talked to my teacher about it and he agreed to it, but only because he loves T.S. Eliot.
So, my idea is to have a National Jellicle Appreciation Week. It will go from September 11 to September 18.
On September 11 (also Miss-Misto's birthday), each CATS fan will recite a poem from Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (I'm reciting Macavity, of course). And each day that week you wear a tail to school.
On September 12, you will make a little speech about what a Jellicle cat is, to educate people about the Jellicles. The speech will include a small description of your favorite Jellicle.
On September 13, you will make a small speech about what CATS fanfiction is. You'll describe ficlets, OCs, cannons, reviews, and all that jazz. Also, if you want, you can make a tail or collar for each classmate.
On September 14 (also my birthday, hint, hint) you will find out each person in your class' Jellicle name using the name generator. You will also design a cat for each classmate (even your teacher, if you want)
On September 15, you will make a baked good for your class that has some cats theme. I'll be making cookies in the shape of the cat eyes painted with green and black icing..
On September 16, you will wear any piece of CATS clothing that you own. Along with the ever present tail. Also, if you want to, you can wear cats makeup to school.
On September 17, you will spend the entire day reading and writing fanfiction. That one's easy.
And on September 18, the last day, you will do anything cats related. That one's really easy.
Anyone who participates in National Jellicle Appreciation Week, will get a special fanfic dedicated to them.
