The sight before me is something that makes even the bravest of men tremble. I see an army of not just men but there demons that reside in them. But there the only one on a horse to look calm is our commander. A chivalrous man no doubt, but yes only a man.

I remind myself of mortality and what it means. To us on this field it means we could be next and probably already dead.

Who am I, to our enemy a nameless knight in armor? But to some people I am Antonio a man who been in with the army of the Byzantine empire for a short couple of years. We are here not to protect anything, or to attack any settlement. We are now in this grassy land to weaken the enemy's army. Who is are enemy? A king, one man, but for 2 men's disagreements many will die.

I look around; even though I can hardly see out of the 2 eyehole in my helmet I can see our only chance of victory. I let out an exasperated sigh, the only chance we have is to destroy there cavalry and to out flank them on the left side. why the left we don't know but I don't have to worry about that. Me and a hundreds maybe even a couple thousands but compared to most it's still a small battle.

Suddenly I hear the order to march forward. I feel my legs moving but I'm only thinking of the battle ahead. I'm in the front line the most dangerous spot of any battle. It's a good far ways to actually have any contact and we will only march. Our commander knows only to makes us walk there. No need to tire us out till we start fighting.

I look right watching the spearmen as they lower their spears and raise there shields. Turning my head left I see the cavalry start to head more in a circular shape than a strait path. We stop, I turn my head completely around and watch as the archers start to string their arrows on their bows. I watch as they release and follow the arrows path. Falling from the heavens its strikes are enemy. Already I see them falling as the arrows pierce there helmets, shields, and armor to get after the weakest part. At least ten men fall in my sight and I realize the battle has officially begun.

I see them running towards us like a heard animal. Yelling at the top of there lungs as they near. The ear splitting screams I hear. It makes me want to run I must run away for a hope of survival. I hear the commander saying there nothing but dogs to be sacrificed to god. It amazes me that he can call them such names at such close proximity. But then it start to my left I hear the crash of metal on metal and I see my fate just a few seconds away.

I put up my shield in time to block the incoming bodies. The first one hits the shield with such tremendous force I thought a horse had hit me. But as the man in front of me falls on his back I see my chance. I bring up my sword and I strike towards the earth I use all my strengths to make the tip of the sword pass through the armor and into his stomach. He clutches my sword and tries to remove it; it's kind of pathetic as he screams. I twist the blade and he freezes, and falls back lifeless.

I look back up and find a target, I shuffle my feet to move forward and raise my sword. The sword follows down into the shield of another enemy. I quickly recoil waiting for his sword to hit and it does. I swing my sword but he blocks with his sword. As the clang of metal keep happening till a man to my left step out and stabs my opponent in the ribs and while he gasps for air I run him through with my sword.
