What it Takes to be Happy

Lips are turning blue

A kiss that can't renew

I only dream of you

My beautiful

I'm so happy. Happier than I've ever been. I'm with the one I love.

Never mind that he doesn't move anymore. Never mind that his once intense blue eyes just stare lifelessly. I still love him just as much as I always have.

Tiptoe to your room

A starlight in the gloom

He wasn't happy when I told him. But you know what he did? He didn't hit me. He didn't yell. He apologized. He said, "I'm sorry, Duo. But I just don't like you that way." Come to think of it, that's probably the most he's ever said to me.

I only dream of you

After I left him I felt horrible. But I brightened once I realized I could convince him to be with me.

And you never knew

It was easier than I thought it would be. His door wasn't even locked.

Sing for absolution

I will be singing

And falling from your grace

He didn't see the knife until it was much too late.

There's nowhere left to hide

In no one to confide

I had to clean up a lot. But at least I convinced him.

The truth burns deep inside

And will never die

And now he's happy with me. And I'm happy. He's happier than he's ever been. Just like me.

Lips are turning blue

A kiss that can't renew

I only dream of you

My beautiful

I start to wonder if the others will notice that he's gone. They might look for him. But, oh well, they'll never think to look in my room.

Sing for absolution

I will be singing

And falling from your grace

But even if they do find him, they can't take him away from me. He doesn't want to leave me.

We'll be together forever.

Our wrongs

Remain unrectified

And our souls

Won't be exhumed
