It's my Party and I'll Cry if I Want to
Quinn Fabray wasn't entirely too sure how all of this happened. One day she was part of the 'it' couple at McKinley, head Cheerio and captain of the celibacy club. Now she was a pregnant gleek who had lost all the popularity she once had.
And that wasn't even half it. She'd told two boys that they were the father of her unborn spawn (she wasn't thinking of it as a baby, she wasn't.), when in reality neither of them were.
The father of the unwanted parasite was not someone she would have chosen in a million years. Well at least on the face of it. This boy, this complete antithesis of her had not only stolen her away from her boyfriend (well secretly, it wasn't like she was going to break up with Finn right now), but managed to get her to forsake some of her hard-earned popularity and join the glee club.
Although, as Quinn thought about it, it's not like he asked her to join glee. In some weird way (and here she totally blames the damn hormones), she thought it would be a good idea to join so she could be closer to him. Not because she was worried about Finn and Man-Hands. Nope not at all. Keeping an eye on Finn was just an added incentive.
Anyway, back to her visitor. Yes Mrs Schuester had offered to take the baby, and yes she'd considered the offer.
For all of a minute. As much as she wanted to deny the fact that there was something growing inside her, she didn't know if Mrs Schue was the best person to give her baby to. For one, she was completely off her face, 100% grade A certifiable insane. Actually that was it. There was no other reason.
Even though Mr Schue would make a great dad for it, Quinn could never give it away to someone that had married someone that crazy.
And besides, her impregnator wanted her to keep the baby, and raise it with him. And Quinn wasn't all adverse to that.
Sure it was completely idealistic and not the best idea when you're 16, but Quinn half-hoped, half-dreamed that it could work. It was insane, obviously, given the paternity of the child and she would become a complete and utter social out-cast at school. And that was not happening.
Still the more Quinn thought about it, the idea of coming completely clean with everyone, especially Finn and Puck, was sounding like a great idea.
Finn would break up with her, which she could probably deal with now, Puck would leave her the hell alone, which would be great. And she and the father could finally be together. Properly. As in a real couple.
And that, Quinn thought, would be wonderful.
Except for the complete loss of her social standing.
Except for her complete loss of social standing. And there was the problem. She loved being popular, the number one girl in the school, the one that everyone looked up to. And she'd lose all of that when her secret came out. There was no 'if' about it. The entire school knew she was pregnant, and it would only be a matter of time before the truth of the paternity came out.
And the world as she knew it would come crashing down around her.
