And so Silence fell.
The universe ends. Never was. Never will be.
Time is funny like that. Especially to an outsider. Beyond eternity.
The Silence found us first.
I was the only one it could not touch. I understood what it was. Then it turned on the material, the temporal. The real.
I tried to warn him, to call out to him, but he would not listen. Never listens to those dark voices that whisper in the back of his mind. To the only way he could ever hear me. Ever know me.
She heard my warning, even if she would not believe me. She tried to work against me.
"Doctor, listen to me. Everything that ever hated you is coming here tonight. You can't win this. You can't even fight it. Doctor, this once, just this one time, please, you have to run."
She should know better. She soon will.
When he would not listen, I turned to his enemies.
It was easy to convince them that he must be contained. I neither needed nor wanted to explain my true motive. Painting him as the villain worked so much better.
When the Silence fell, all the intricate and enduring power of the Pandorica- time-stops, deadlocks and matter-lines, as if that could ever contain him- shielded him.
One living being left in all of creation.
How ironic, the one thing placed in their Pandora's Box was their universe's only Hope.
Not trapped. Protected.
I am the shadow that howls in the night. I rail against the Silence, and I have done the impossible.
United the greatest malevolent powers of the universe.
To serve the purpose of their greatest enemy.
