My Angel
Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear
Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
Seth went to bed that evening feeling exhausted. It was like he hadn't slept in weeks.
He was staying with his parents, who didn't minded having him around. He could tell that they were really worried about him. They kept trying to talk to him but he wasn't up to it.
Ryan had also come home for the night. He was also worried about him, but didn't pressure him into anything.
Seth just didn't feel like he could ever talk again.
His family had made him who he was, but now it was all gone. There was no family to show who he truly was.
Seth laid on the bed, feeling all alone. This wasn't his house. This wasn't his bed. And there was no one beside him.
He couldn't sleep, he just stared at the ceiling in the dark.
He couldn't close his eyes, being afraid about what the dreams would bring.
He was afraid to see Summer. He was afraid to see his daughters.
He was afraid of everything. He was afraid to eat dinner without them, watch movies without them. He was afraid of everything, that they ever did together.
Most of all, he was afraid to move on without them.
Without noticing, his eyes had slid shut and he was in the dreamworld.
And you are watching over me from up above
Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
First Seth couldn't see in the dark.
Everything was completely dark and he didn't know if his eyes were open or closed.
Then he saw the light.
He just stared at it.
It came closer and closer and Seth had to blink his eyes.
Tears started to come down from his eyes.
It was Summer.
It was Summer in the bright light.
She looked at him, a happy smile on her face. She had a white dress on and her hair was loosely on her shoulders.
Now she was an angel.
Seth couldn't get his eyes off of her, but he didn't really want to either.
She was so beautiful.
She stepped closer to him, taking his hand. She leaned forward and kissed him softly.
Seth felt like he was in heaven.
The light began to fade.
Summer still looked at him, smiling.
"Don't cry,'' she whispered and began to walk away.
Seth watched her walk and decided one thing.
He would never cry again.
A whisper came from the sky, ''I'll wait for you.''
Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power cant be seen
Seth slept the rest of the night peacefully.
In the morning he wasn't as exhausted, but still his energy was gone.
He was stronger because of Summer.
She had bring light in his world.
And that he was thankful for.
He would take one day at the time and not worry about anyone than himself.
He could still be the person, that Summer once fell in love with.
It could just take time.
And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave
Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
