Well...this would happen to be the first HSM oneshot I ever wrote and the idea hit me sometime around 11 pm three nights ago. I have written other HSM stuff though...
I rated it K+ merely because I'm not sure preschoolers should be hearing about throwing darts at walls and accidently at boyfriends to vent your anger...might corrupt the little peoples.
My favorite. Troyella. Anti-Sharpay. With a smidge of Chaylor and Ryelsi. More favoriteness.
Disclaimer: I don't own HSM. If I did, I wouldn't be here writing fanfiction, would I? I also don't own a dart board.
He dove to the floor, attempting to shield himself. That last dart had been dangerously near his head.
It had begun when they had arrived at his house. Deciding that it was best to be away from parents who could potentially become nosy, they had quickly gone to his room. Upon seeing the dark board and all the darts he had accumulated, she had finally started releasing her anger. And so it was that she came to be ranting and throwing darts.
"I can't believe" thud "that" thud "spoiled" thud "BRAT" thud "would try" thud "to break us up" thud "yet again" thud "and even more" thud "I can't believe" thud "she actually thought" thud "It'd work!" thud
"Gabi…"
"She always" thud "thinks she" thud "deserves" thud "to get" thud "her" thud "way!" thud. It was here that Troy migrated from his bed (above and to the left of which the dart board was hung) to the floor.
"Gabriella!"
"What?" She spun to look at him just as she loosed another dart. It buried itself in the carpet by Troy's arm. He yelped and jumped up, then took advantage of her momentary pause to wrap his arms around Gabriella, effectively stopping her dart throwing.
"First, stop throwing darts. You're making me fear for my life and you've sufficiently punctured the wall. Second, I don't get why you're so freaked over this."
"How can you not be? She always tries to break us up!"
"But she didn't. This time around, we were both, for once, smart enough to see it and ignore her."
"I suppose you're right…" Gabriella sighed and tossed the last few darts on the floor by the one that nearly got Troy. He flinched when she did that, almost thinking she was just dropping them. She then turned around in his arms and grinned up at him.
"I was always smart enough. You're the one that finally caught on."
"Normally, I'd resent that insult to my intelligence. However, I'll overlook it because we need to get ready to go out again."
"Why is that again?"
"Remember, we finally got Ryan to ask Kelsi out, but the condition was that it would be a group date. So you, me, Chad, and Taylor all have to go…It was your plan!" He grinned down at her, teasing her slightly.
"Oh yeah! I remember. But wait…" She frowned. Troy had to admit, even when she frowned, Gabriella was so beautiful… "What if Sharpay decides to tag along?"
"We'll just give you a fork or a pen or some other pointy object. Your accuracy with sharp objects is amazing." They both looked at the dart board. Most of the darts were on the board, and even more, a good many had hit bullseye and the ring closest to it. Gabriella smiled and hugged Troy.
"You're right."
"Finally, someone recognizes my brilliance."
"Don't get a big head."
"Who, me? Never!" Troy pretended to be offended. Gabriella smirked and gently pulled from his grasp.
"You work on deflating that ego. I'm going to run home and change." She gave him a quick kiss before walking out the door. "See you in a few."
Troy watched her leave. He was lucky to have a girlfriend as great as her. And as smart. And as beautiful. And one with such great aim. He shook his head and smiled to himself as he changed. This was going to be a great night.
Review? Please? -begging face-
