four-thirty AM ramblings...oneshot. Rin's been summoned to Akito...and I suppose the ending really shows how much they truly need a God. Abuse, torture, crying, etc.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'You're cold.'
Say nothing.
'You're so very, very cold.'
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...
'And you'll get colder. Because you're worthless. You know that, don't you?'
There was a gleam in her eyes as she reached for Rin. She tangled her fingers in the long silky hair, pulling her across the floor and talking while she did it, just to make the words stand out.
'You're so, so, worthless! And still, you don't get it!'
Rin whimpered as Akito flicked her wrist and a lock of hair was pulled taut, taut enough to make her dig her fingernails into her palms.
'When are you ever going to realise, my dear, that you are hopeless? You're worthless. Look at you! Look at yourself!'
She pulled her, by her hair, in front of the mirror, the only light or bright thing in the room. She knelt down beside the crying girl and said in a voice softer than honey;
'Look, Look up, Isuzu. Look at yourself. Such an ugly thing. With your long legs and your long hair and your long long long tongue for LYING WITH!'
The god shrieked and pushed the girl close to the mirror. Closer.
'Aren't the Jyuunishi meant to be beautiful, Rin? Like Haru. Oh, yes, like Haru. You're the mistake...the one who went wrong! Look at you...and still...'
Akito stroked Rin's hair, kissing her ears as Rin cried uncontrollably, talking in her voice that just dripped with sugar.
'Why must you take my things? Why, Isuzu? Aren't you...happy? Such a happy thing. I will pay no attention to you. Until you start lying and sneaking around like the filth-ridden little mare you truly are.'
'Ak-ii...Aki-to...please...no...'
Akito tilted Rin's face up to hers, looking into the sore, pink eyes and kissing her softly between words.
'Isuzu...listen to me. I won't be here for long, will I? So take my torture as a present. A memory. Memories. Memories that will last you until your dying day. I'm so...so...kind.'
'Akito...' Rin buried her face in the gods lap, sobbing.
'Who are you crying for? Me? Cry for me...the one who bears the brunt of this shackle, this curse. Crying for your precious Hatsuharu, perhaps? Come now, dear...you'll be with him eventually...after I've gone. Isn't that enough for you?'
The god stifled a sob and smiled hazily into the mirror.
'Cry for me. Cry for me, dear, sweet, Rin, cry for me, the God, the one who can't be what she'd like to be. Cry for me.'
The crying girl in the gods lap looked up in mixed fear and hope.
'You have...no idea. None. I wish, Rin...and even I hope.'
'Ah..'
'Shush. I...I...you make me feel...so sick. So sick. Ren...Rin...'
Akito slumped forward, eyes in and out of focus.
'Isuzu...'
Rin got up, wiping away the tears, limping towards the door. She took a look at the god and put a hand to her own mouth, calling.
'Hatori! Hatoriii!'
