Viva la Vida - Sofia Karlberg

It was rather simple really, how Riki came to be where he is: he was is the right place at the right time (though he'd be more inclined to say thewrongplace at the wrong time). Nevertheless, it was undeniable that the blonde had hadthis
planned for quite a while.

Times like these, Riki thought, were the times he hated most. Just sitting on the marble railing of the balcony with a lit cigarette between his fingers, looking over the lights of Midas to the black hole that is the slums.

After his year of freedom, he realised. In those three years being caged inside the ever-changing, never-changing Eos, he too had changed.

And that crushed him.

He was no longer the one that ignited burning emotions by the mere mention of his name; no longer revered, no longer feared. He had faded to a legend, a myth, with only himself to blame.

Regardless of how he swore, cursed and damned hisblondie master to hell, deeep down he knew that it was his own naïvety and mongrel pride that was the cause of his current situation. He thought he could best everything and everyone, but hadmet

his match in Jupiter's Golden Child.

The sadistic bastard made him feel things he'd never felt, even for Guy. Guy... what would he say now? Out of all his old gang, Guy had stuck with him, guided him and supported him in any way possible. And yet, Riki thinks, I fuck the one thing that Guy hates.

Even still, it could be worse, he supposed. He could belong to Raoul. Then again, Raoul wouldn't pick up slum trash off the streets as his master did. Another oddity about Iason: he gets away with it. Even Jupiter doesn't fully oppose Its favoured son. Another reason why I love him.

Wait, what? Riki couldn't believe his thoughts. Where the fuck had that come from? Of course he had known that his feelings for his master had recently evolved more than expected;Riki wasn't ready to face them.

He scoffs with bitter amusement. He's a coward. He preaches others about pride and morals and yet, here he sits, dethroned and running scared from the emotions inside himself.

Maybe it was time he stopped running. He loved the blonde prick. And it was obvious the blonde prick loved him. Even now, when he calls him, the affection - the warmth a blondie shouldn't possess-at home in his voice is undeniable.

That's what made him alive.

No, that's what made him human.

Riki looks into his master's icy depths, noting the love that is so blatant in his eyes. It made his resolve shatter.

"Iason..."
