Alone (BladeWing Reijy)
A/N: I was always interested in BladeWing Reijy's card lore, which was my inspiration to write this. Constructive criticism is very much appreciated :)
A young man with blade wings that contain the power to destroy. Born and raised in the lawless Dark Zone, he underwent transplant surgery to receive body parts that would give him supernatural abilities. However, the incredible power he obtained gradually warped his mind, twisting the use of the power for the sake of "protecting myself" to "oppress other people'". There is no one oppressing him anymore. He is lonely now. For anyone he touches is reduced to dust, and that dust is used to give his wings of destruction even more power. It is the price to pay for having the joy of being the strongest, an accursed power that damns him to profound loneliness and solitude that he cannot escape from.
Power. That was how it all started. In the cruel world he was born in, he was taught that power was everything. Only the strongest could survive, while the weak suffered. However, obtaining such incredible power was almost impossible for a mere human like him. Almost driven to the point of insanity by his thrist for power, he continued to roam the lands in search of a way.
It was then he heard of the offer. Selling his soul to the darkness, his entire body felt like it was being consumed by an inferno, white-hot pain shooting down his back as he underwent a terrifyingly beautiful transformation. Wings of blades tore through his skin as he released an agonised scream.
Finally, the transformation was complete. He had obtained great power. Breathing raggedly, a slow, sadistic smirk spread across his face. The forbidden power was all his to use now. He would not be weak anymore. With that, he flew off towards the Dark Zone, uncaring of the almost-insane look on his face, or the blood still dripping down the torn skin of his back.
Alone. He was alone now. The destructive power granted to him had turned others against him, and he could only watch as they ran away in fear, the void in his heart growing larger and larger. The price of that immerse power was an eternal damnation to solitude and confinement, condemning him to a life of loneliness.
"Was it worth it?" He wondered aloud, the question lingering in the darkness that surrounded him, that consumed his lonely soul. There was no answer, only silence.
A/N: So how was it? This is the first time I've written something like this so please tell me what you think~ Thank you :)
