A/N: This isn't like, a missing chapter from "More Than Just Friends?" or anything. I just dreamed it up. I hope you enjoy! I might even do a sequel...

That Was When I Learned

I couldn't believe this—any of it. I couldn't believe that lees than an hour ago I'd been in a row with my best friend Lily. I couldn't believe that less than an hour ago I'd hexed Severus Snape and gotten a weeks' worth of detention.

Most of all I couldn't believe I was here, in this magically appearing room, in the arms of Sirius Black, the most sought-after boy in school.

I couldn't believe that we'd been kissing. I couldn't believe that he laughed at my jokes, looked me in the eye, and told me he liked me since first year. I told him I liked him since then, too.

But I was still scared.

"Sirius," I whispered. It was dark in the room, and quiet. A gentle fire was crackling on the fireplace on the far wall. The only other sound I could hear was the steady beat of Sirius's breathing. "Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did, love," He smiled.

"No, seriously."

"Siriusly?"

"Oh, stop," I said punching him playfully. He pouted.

"Well, what is it then?"

"Do you really love me? Or am I just another girl?"

"I love you." He said sincerely. "You aren't just another girl. You are the girl—the only girl for me."

"Aww," I sighed, "How cute."

"Seriously," He said, stroking my hair affectionately. "It's true. I love you to the death, or other rather serious things."

"Hopefully all our things will be Sirius, not serious," I joked.

"Hopefully so," He sighed, holding me tighter.

"I'm the girl, huh?" I murmured thoughtfully. "What does that entitle?"

"You get to be seen with the most dashing boy in all of Hogwarts." He pointed out haughtily.

"Besides that beautiful boy, James Potter, you mean?" I teased him.

Pretending to be annoyed, he continued, "You also get to marry me someday, maybe." Annoyance (pretended or not) disappeared.

"That's quite an honor." I whispered.

"Yeah," He sighed closing his eyes. "It is."

We were just sitting there, holding each other. I never wanted to let go.

That was when I learned...about love…
