All alone in this cruel world

A tiny whisper goes unheard

"Please, somebody, find me here!"

The child sheds a single tear

~o~

Reaching out with pale white hands

Searching for far away lands

Quiet sobs hid by the dark

The crushing weight leaves not a spark

~o~

Curled and crying, the child now

A boy fourteen, destroyed somehow

His thousands of cries that never reached

The friends and family he beseeched

~o~

The crimson red tore through the night

Burning hot and burning bright

A single figure in the street

That brought the whole world down at his feet

~o~

Blood and flame all in the mix

Burning through the town of sticks

And so, most gone, the world crumbles

No life left under the rubble

~o~

Proud and cold the child stands

No friend nor family close at hand

"I'm alone, and that's okay"

"There's no one here that needs to stay"
