A Father's lies
If I were to die today
Would you cry or would you pray
I waste away to the nothingness
Of your dismay
I lay at night
Wondering why
A father like you
Could make me cry
With each lie you told me
Each day
I cry at night
Wishing they'd go away
How can a father like you be ok
When your daughter committed suicide
Because of your ways
The ways you lied to her
And told her she was ok
Your daughter's heart died that day
The day you gave up and walked away
Will I forgive and forget
Or will my soul never be at rest
How can a man like you be called a man
When you can't even stand up and be a dad
