Regrets

Haley Torlenz sat on the top of Crimson Hill. It actually wasn't a hill, but it was one of her favorite spots on her Grandparents Ranch. The setting sun had turned the sky a golden purple. It was a really good place to think.
"Am I interrupting something?" Startled, Haley whizzed around to find Face behind her.
"Nope. Just thinking." Haley turned around to face the sunset again as Face sat down next to her.
"'Bout what?"
"Well. When I was back in California, I had this one really great teacher. We were somewhat alike too. We liked the same things, even acted alike. He had a better sense of humor, but that's besides the point.
"I've been thinking about the whole mess with my parents, and how I never got to say goodbye to him. I wish he knew I appreciated all the Regular classes. He only called on me if I knew the answer. And The Study Halls... It was fun talking to him about his "special powers," like 'stealth mode!'
"I never made friends easy, and I was glad I had someone to talk to."
Face thought for a moment. "I bet he knows already. Murdock would probably tell you he already sent Billy over to make sure."
Haley grinned. "You're right." Haley thought for a moment before continuing. "I just hope he's not mad at me because I never handed that book report in..."
