The Miracle of Fatherhood
Author: Bishop T
Rated: G
Summary: Sarek presents his son, Spock to his clan and following Vulcan customs, reads a poem he has written for the occation.
Some say there are no miracles,
But why the skies of red?
And why the clouds of puffy white?
And the sand with dew is wed?
To picture birds on a Tasmeen day,
Or a child with sand skimmer in hand;
Or a child who makes discoveries
While playing in the sand. . .
Or holding, Spock, my firstborn son so
Clan members can see,
As Amanda sits in honor of
the son she brought to me;
Or times when sun comes rising up,
Or sets in western skies;
These my friends are miracles . . .
Right before your eyes.
Without a doubt I could go on,
Extolling many things;
For I believe in the Creator's miracles,
And rejoice in what He brings
