Brendon stared furiously at the blank sheet of paper in front of him; all inspiration had deserted him, and nothing was enticing it to come back. Finally giving up, he went to make himself something to eat; if inspiration was going to leave him hanging, then food would surely help him back on his feet.

As Brendon pulled his head out of the fridge, he caught sight of his most favorite person in the world, Ryan Ross. The other boy took one look at Brendon and turned around, eager to shoot out the door. It was never good to be around Brendon when he was eating, what with the boy's random outbursts of throwing things across the room. Spencer had narrowly avoided getting pegged by a watermelon slice just the other day.

"Ryro!" He yelled, eyes gleaming with unmasked excitement. "Where have you been today? I was looking EVERYWHERE for you!" Brendon babbled as he wrapped his poor victim up in a hug.

"Oh, you know... Around," replied Ryan, quite vaguely. "I was going to make a sandwich, but it's looking as if all the bread has been polished off," the older boy said with a pointed glance at the empty bread bag sitting on the counter. Brendon just grinned guiltily.

"Well would you look at that! Oh well! While you're in here, I was wondering if you could help me come up with some ideas for a song?" ventured Brendon, praying that Ryan would agree. He stared expectantly at the older boy's face with his fingers crossed behind his back.

After a moment of consideration, Ryan gave in. He never could turn down his lead singer's big brown eyes. "Well, I don't suppose I have anything better to do. What have you got so far?"

Brendon flushed. "Nothing," he mumbled, suddenly taking great interest in the oak floor they were standing on.

Ryan snorted, "Well that's just great!" he replied, tone dripping with sarcasm. He then sighed, grabbed Brendon's hand and dragged him over to the couch. "Let's get started then." He tried to pull his hand from Brendon's but found the stubborn idiot refusing to let go. "Er, Brendon? My hand?" He looked up as he said this, and was shocked to find Brendon staring at his with something entirely new to Ryan in his gaze. The younger boy looked.. thoughtful.

Brendon then did something that Ryan would never forget. The capricious gentleman leaned forward and kissed an unsuspecting Ryan Ross.
