A Royai oneshot. I think it's cute, but that's just me. I'm not very funny so don't be surprised.

(Maes Hughes is alive in this one, okay?)

Disclaimer: I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist or any of the characters.

Royai: Romance and Earthquakes

The phone rang. Riza Hawkeye looked up from the laundry. Her husband was on duty, while she was not. So she was stuck with the housework for the day.

"Elizabeth, could you get that?" she asked. A three-year-old girl jumped up onto a chair. She picked up the phone where a farmiliar voice spoke.

"Hello, Riza?" the voice asked. The little girl giggled.

"No, Uncle Maes, it's me!" she sang.

"Oh, well I need you to tell your father that he needs to call me when he gets home."

"Why?"

"You shouldn't try to get into someone's business, Elizabeth."

"But Daddy always says: 'Don't let Hughes hang up unless you know what he wants. 'Cuz he can be a dork at times.'"

"Well, I'll get him for that later." he muttered. "I need to know what time he wants to take your Mommy and Aunt Gracia out."

"Why are you taking them out?" she asked.

"We're trying to be romantic." he explained.

"Oh, OK. I'll tell him." By now Riza had moved into her and Roy's room. She climbed up onto the bed after hanging up the phone and running into the room. "Mommy? Is Daddy romantic?" Riza looked at her, surprised. She didn't ask only answered.

"Yes, he's very romantic."

"That's good." she commented. Riza had to muffle a giggle at her daughter's cuteness. Suddenly they heard keys, then the door opening. Elizabeth ran down the hallway to meet her father.

"How've you been, sweetheart?" he asked picking her up.

"Good." she replied. "Daddy, Uncle Maes called. He wants to know about what time you want to be romantic." He grinned at the girl's words. He nodded.

"So what've you been up to?"

"Mommy and I were talking about you being romantic."

"Oh you were, were you?"

"Yes, and she said you were very romantic." He smiled.

"Well, Kiddo it looks like it's your bedtime."

"Okay."

He walked with Riza to bed. They had just tucked in the little girl, who snuggled under the covers.

"So I'm romantic, huh?"

"I think you know the answer to that." He grinned again. He closed the door, then proceeded to wrap his arms around her. His lips touched her ear as he nibbled and licked it. His lips chewed on the chord of her neck, her breath caught, quickened.

"Oh, Roy . . ." she sighed.

"Daddy! Daddy did you here it!" He looked puzzled at his daughter. Then shook his head. "There was things shaking."

"Maybe it was an earthquake." he explained. "I'll ask Maes if he heard anything."

"I didn't hear about an earthquake." Riza said.

"They sometimes don't post about it if it's small." They heard a knock and Riza got the door. Maes came in with a grin.

"How's everybody?"

"Uncle Maes! Uncle Maes!" the girl shouted excitedly. "Did you hear it?" she asked, as he picked her up. The next thing she said made her parent's blush.

"Here what?"

"There was an earthquake in Mommy and Daddy's bed last night!"

Funny or what? Yep, well make sure you review. I'm sorry it wasn't longer. I'm working on a story. I'm working on the fifth chapter. Oh, if you have timed to read it, it's called Royai: Dead or Alive?. Or you can search authors and put in Hawkeye-Fan-101. This my third story so you don't have to search through a bunch.

Thanks, Hawkeye-Fan-101
