Author's Note: This is going to be short from my series 'Persecution of Us' where a freshmen gets transported to the Bleach dimension and replaces Ichigo Kurosaki. I would recommend reading it at least a little first, but I want to believe that this could do well as a standalone. Oh, and if you did read 'Persecution of Us', then you may want to know that she is not that young, but rather this is when she's about 24…physically.
Brown eyes slowly opened, fluttering slightly in an attempt to adjust to the bright light that the large window was letting in. The pale curtains had remained open all night, revealing the city of Tokyo far below; she had forgotten to close the curtains. Eyes trailing over the large hotel room, she found more things that had been forgotten; clothes that had been hastily removed, a tipped over lamp…and yet a valiant breakfast was set up at the oversized table like all was normal.
Her eyes trailed down onto the white blanket she was enveloped in, then to the strong arm that encircled her waist protectively. Calm breathes softly caressed the back of her neck as goose bumps made their way around her body.
She winced, not yet entirely awake, and rolled into Urahara Kisuke's arms. His eyes fluttered open sleepily, watching her and helping her settle as he held her tighter before closing. She now lied in his protective embrace; no coldness would befall her here.
Closing her soft brown eyes, she let the soft locks of sleep carry her into another place; another time. I'm so glad… That we came here… She thought softly.
I'm so glad… That you're here with me.
Author's Note: Pretty short…But I like it. I'd recommend all readers to check out 'Persecution of Us', it's very interesting. I'm also not expecting any reviews… This was done because I felt like it needed to be, and it was cute to write.
