Arthur's POV:

Merlin knew me all too well, it seemed. He challenged me to a bet…and of course, I had to say yes, but before I knew what the consequences were. It was the first time I had lost a bet, ever, and of course-the consequences were just plain humiliating. Merlin said, that if I lost, I had to disguise myself and be put in the stocks for everyone to throw vegetables at, something that was a regular occurrence for Merlin. So, I was disguised, and put in the stocks.

"Merlin, you bloody idiot." I muttered after the first tomato was thrown at me. He probably knew that I'd lose this bet, and did this just so I'd know what he felt like after he was put in the stocks. I was so going to get him for this, I thought as vegetable after vegetable was thrown at me. They eventually stopped throwing tomatoes and lettuce, and moved on to potatoes and irritatingly hard vegetables. After I was released from the stocks, I went to find my irritating manservant.

"Merlin!" I yelled.

"Yes, Sire?" Merlin said, popping his head around the door.

"That was bloody horrible. I am never betting with you, ever again." I stated.

"I take it you disliked the stocks, then, Sire?" Merlin said, trying to restrain his laughter.

"Yes, I disliked it. Now, go fetch me some water." I commanded, then listened as he walked away.
