Baby had started acting up again, something that worried Becca to no end. Desmond was plugged in this time, and her thoughts drifted to when he was trapped inside, a time that killed all of them.

The buzzer on her arm was going off left and right, driving her to just moving her pillow to her desk whenever she needed to get some sleep. Late nights of tinkering were taking its toll on the techie and soon it was apparant on her face, eyelids drooping, smile lackluster and her normally bubby attitude became a bit more lax and there was a hint of irritation in ever word she spoke. She was changing, and not for the better.

She stared at his body, strapped into the Animus as usual, the faintest smile playing on his lips. "Des…" She whispered when her memories drifted back to a happier time.

And there was Clay, snickering as she made a mess of her lunch, spilling coffee on her lap. She jumped up, about to scream when she heard a noise she hadn't heard before. He started laughing, a full blown genuine laugh, one that burst from one's lips, unable to be held back. Rebecca grinned and splashed some of her coffee at him, eyes crinkling at the corners.

"You dork!" She giggled, laughing along with him as he shielded himself from the droplets, smile broad on his face.

"Me? I think you mean you!" He poked her nose and she scrunched it up in that way she always did when they played around. She noted his smile growing and punched his arm.

"Ha! Loser~" She snorted, looping her arm with his, dragging him back to work, leaving their mess on the table for someone else to take care of.

Happier times. She leaned back in her chair, letting her eyes fall shut, trying to catch a few winks of sleep before the buzzer on her arm went off again.
