"Merry Christmas, Adrian," you say. You give him a quick hug before pulling back, a grin on your face.
"Merry Christmas to you too, Remy," he replies, ever polite. "I believe I have something for you." Out of his pocket he pulls out a small box and hands it to you. Inside it contains a silver bracelet with a beautiful sun dangling from it. It's a bright orange and yellow, with a few diamonds embedded in it. The box also contains a note. It reads, "For being my light." You look up at Adrian, who has a small smile on his face.
"Thank you. Thank you so much," you say genuinely. "I, uh...have...something for you, too..."
"Nervous, Remy? That's unlike you." Adrian laughs. You laugh, too, and your nerves melt away.
"Here." You give him a wrapped present with a bow on top. Adrian gently rips off the paper, revealing a painting you made yourself. It depicts the city, half of it seemingly experiencing nighttime, the other side of the city bathed in sunlight. In the middle, where the night and day meet, you painted the mark Adrian had given you to protect you.
"I know, it's silly. But--" you're cut off.
"I love it," Adrian says softly, still looking at the painting. Then he fixes his gaze on you. Your heart thumps. He leans in and brushes his lips against yours. You press your lips a little harder against Adrian's. He accepts it, and embraces you. You pull back gently after a moment, and place your head on his chest. You feel both of your hearts racing, matching each other's pace.
"Merry Christmas, Adrian," you murmur.
"Merry Christmas, Remy," Adrian replies softly.
Hi, guys. This is my first story. It's a little fanfic based on the book "Bloodbound" from the game "Choices". I made a lot of these, and I want to keep making them, so I guess you'll be reading lots of these! As you can tell, I wrote this during Christmas season. That's when I finished Bloodbound. I just couldn't get enough of it, could I? I can't wait for the next book! Alright, guys, see you later!
