A/N: This is a sappy little ficlet about a conversation between Eddie Guerrero and Owen Hart, written in Owen's POV. Eddie isn't taking the whole dying thing very well.
---------
I saw Eddie sitting at the viewing bay, everyone was concerned, he'd been in that exact same position since he arrived. He missed his family, we all did. When I first died I spent forever doing the same thing he was, most people do. But everyone was worried; they wanted me to check up on him. So I went over and sat beside him so I could see what he was looking at; his eldest, Shaul, was watching Raw where Eddie's nephew, Chavo, was wrestling, Sherilyn, his middle child, was reading a homework book while his baby girl, Kaylie Marie was getting tucked into bed by her mother.
"Aren't they beautiful?" Eddie whispered without turning his attention from the scene below.
"Beautiful. Eddie…"
"Wait…" Eddie replied putting his hand up to stop me. I watched as Kaylie Marie prayed for her sisters, her mother and then finally her father while Vickie looked on with tears in her eyes.
"Eddie… Everyone's worried about you. They think you spend too much time down here."
"You would be here too if you were in my situation"
"But I am, remember? I left my baby girl and my little boy and my beautiful wife. To tell you the truth I spent forever down here when I first died. I watched my kids every second of everyday… To tell you the truth I still come down here once a day to watch what is going on, I don't want to miss a minute of their lives"
"Owen you've been here 8 years, I haven't even been here 8 weeks yet."
"I know… Honestly I'm only talking to you because I've been asked to. Eddie, buddy, you've got the chance to wrestle on the biggest stage ever, for the creator of the universe."
"Wrestling means nothing when I don't have my family." I sighed; I was in a loosing battle. How was I meant to persuade someone who I was once identical to? I think they knew the conversation would be like this, that's why they sent me. I looked down where Eddie was watching it was time for his 9 year old to say her prayers. I turned my attention to Eddie where big tears were streaking down his face.
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders; he was a friend of mine before death and now afterwards.
"Stay as long as you need" I whispered before pulling away. I headed towards where the guys were waiting and realized my back pocket seemed lighter,
"Hey Eddie?"
"Yea Holmes?" He asked keeping his attention on his family.
"Have you seen my wallet?"
"Who me? Nah Holmes" He replied flashing me one of his infamous grins.
