I apologize for any offensive material to Christianity, if there is any :)
This was done rather hastily, I'll apologize now for any mistakes, please be nice and point them out :)
Summary: Petunia listens to the preacher's sermon.
I'm being very religious with her, aren't I?
This will be the last one. I promise.

" -Greed, Envy is characterized by an insatiable desire; they differ, however, for
two main reasons. First, Greed is largely associated with material goods,
whereas Envy may apply more generally –"
Petunia squirmed, ever so slightly in her seat.
"-and thou Dante defined envy as 'Love of one's own good perverted to a
desire to deprive other men of theirs' –"
She shivered, and supposing the room was drafty, as she wrapped the cotton
shawl around her tighter.
"-Thomas Aquinas described Envy as 'sorrow for another's good' -"
The shawl was now so taut around her slender body it was rather hard to
breathe, but she took no notice of her stressed fingers, straining to hear the
sermon.
"-In Dante's Purgatory, the punishment for the envious is to have their eyes
sewn shut with wire, because they have gained sinful pleasure from seeing
others brought low –"
She automatically raised a hand to her large pale eyes.
The sermon ended then, but throughout the years, she could still hear the
preacher's monotone of a voice, over and over: "punishment, punishment,
punishment."
She tried to avoid it. Tried to redeem by doing all her chores and Lily's, before
she left for Hogwarts. The voice still methodically clanged against her ears.
She tried to forget. Married a man with the most traits unlike her sister, so she
would not remember. Cut off all relations with magic.
Still, the green-eyed monster lingered in her soul, seducing her.
It wouldn't let her forget.
