Prologue: Lost
Being lost is the time to sharpen your instincts,
Being more aware of what is around you,
Having patience with nature
As well as fear...
A young teen rests the back of his head against the back of a large smooth stone with a long elegantly shaped sword by his side.
Hey Rey! An arrogant voice screeched from his strange sword.
"What," came a grunt from the young boy on the right.
You've been sitting there deep in thought for three days!!! Doesn't a normal living being like you need food! You don't even sleep! The dark steel scowled in distaste.
"And when have you ever cared?" The shadowy figure protested in a sharp unyielding tone, his dark eyes warily focused upon the rigid sharp edge of his demonic blade, "I can just rot in hell for all you care!"
Well there is no law saying that I can't care, The spirit of the Pasa Sword grumbled, besides, why don't you care? It's your body…
"Why should I care? Shyao has betrayed me…" Rey mumbled with misery, hugging his legs tightly as he pictured his sweet sister within his broken heart, head throbbing at the reminder of such a loss.
That girl again, the floating face of the spirit appeared before him, what's so good about her anyways? Huh? Shyao, Shyao, Shyao! It's driving me nuts!
"You care, why?" Rey repeated his unanswered question with an uneven eyebrow.
I care because it's not like I can leave you! And so what if that girl decided to betray you? You don't have to act like the whole stupid world is coming to an end!
"Shut up!" Rey growled, "Why are you poking your nose into my problems any way?"
Since we're 'bonding' more and more, I can hear your thoughts! Do you know how annoying that is? Oh, Shyao, why did you betray me? Why did you do such a hor-
"Well, aren't you the almighty Pasa Sword? Shouldn't you have a way to block out my thoughts?" The fallen warrior inquired in a voice brimming with hate and depression.
I can block out your thoughts bu-
"If you can why don't you do it?"
BUT your thoughts are screami-
"Then why don't you block that out too?"
It's not as easy as you th-
Suddenly a strange sickening cry could be heard within the depths of the forests beyond.
"What was that?" Rey inquired, hand darted upon instinct unto the blade he wielded.
I… don't know, The spirit retreated back into its metal self, that sound seems oddly familiar…
"What do you mean sounds familiar?" The dark haired warrior spat, "I've never hear such a thing in my life!"
Without a second thought, Rey hurtled himself and his weapon-like-friend into the dark depths of the forest. Half way through, Rey encounter a white fog, which enveloped him, body and all into a bright flash of light.
Rey awoke in a strange batch of crisp brunt leaves, dazed as if his head was beaten heavily with a stone hammer. When his eyes decided to focus onto his surroundings, he found out that he was sitting under a huge tree that was cut clean in half by something that was clearly impossible to make.
"Where are we?" Rey wondered aloud as he stepped into the unknown.
Then it struck him.
"Pasa Sword?" He whispered to the blade in which was in held by his hand. Then he found the mistake. The Pasa Sword was gone.
