1Summary: One shot, Trory. Okay, you probably don't want to read this, but you could try. It literally has no point. There is not a plot, at all. I have WAY too much time on my hands. Enjoy.
"He was killed by a cellular phone explosion. They scattered his ashes across the ocean, the water was used to make baby lotion. The wheels of promotion were set into motion, but the sun still shines in the summertime, I'll be yours if you'll be mine. I tried to change, but I changed my mind, I think I'll have another glass of Mexican wine." Rory Gilmore sang the tune under her breath.
"She lived alone in a small apartment, across the street from the health department. She left her pills in the glove compartment, that was the afternoon..." Tristan mumbled quietly trying to finish his homework in class. 'After all, what's a "date" with books scattered everywhere?' He thought to himself, 'Of course doing it in the library isn't so bad..." he was cut out of his train of thought when he felt eyes on him.
He turned sideways and looked Rory in the eyes who quickly averted her eyes to her paper. He smirked, knowing she was looking at him. Rory just stared at her paper, a smile spreading across her face as well. She continued singing the tune so quiet that no one could hear her but Tristan - and she wanted him to.
"The sun still shines in the summertime, I'll be yours if you'll be mine, I tried to change, but I changed my mind, think I'll have another glass of Mexican wine..." she started.
"I think I'll have another glass of Mexican wine..."Rory sang as quietly as possible, catching onto the game.
"Mexican Wine" being both of their favorite songs Rory and Tristan sang it under their breath in school. It was their little thing, just between the two, no one else knew about it. Telling absolutely no one made it seem like their dirty little secret. They wouldn't even talk about it themselves, they just knew it was there and that's all that mattered. It started right after Rory broke up with Dean and right before Tristan kissed Rory.
Flashback.
Rory walked into Chilton expecting it to be a normal day, but as it turned out, it was far from normal. It started with Tristan coming up to her locker and being nothing but genuinely nice to her, which was weird for him.
Paris was evil, as always, but Madeline and Louise acted like they were running for Miss Congeniality, they had actually took the time to stop and talk to Rory.
But Rory had no idea what she was in for. All she was doing was innocently standing by her locker, secretly hoping that Tristan would notice her...she didn't have to hope much, but did she know this? No, thus the hoping and the wishing and the denying all rolled into one neat package. One minute she was standing at her locker stealing secret glances and the next she was being slammed against her locker, Tristan's mouth pressed up against hers. And so the package was unrolled and sent back to the store where it belonged in the first place.
End Flashback
As they walked back to their lockers Rory finally said something.
"Tristan?"
"Yeah?"
"Chilton isn't seeming much like hell anymore." She stated, smiling at him.
"No. It isn't." He agreed.
