It Is Time

:A Poem by Pwalefriend:

I am bound here

I cannot flee

Though my very nature

The nature that you cursed me to bear forever

Calls out to me

Telling me that it is time

That it is time to flee

That it is time to fly

Telling me that it is time

You tell me when to go

You tell me what to do

I feel…small

Insignificant

Though my mind is telling me

That it is time to flee

That it is time to fly

Telling me that it is time

You tell me what to say

You tell me whom to kill

A bairn who never hurt a body

Lies dead upon my hands

Your red eyes they glow

Burning into my mind

And I'm laughing outside

Crying in shame for the deaths…

Maybe I am to blame?

But no…

My mind is telling me

That it is time to flee

That it is time to fly.

Telling me that it is time.

You are the death

You are the life

You hold my heart

In physical being alone

But now my spirit stands

I'm not all alone.

The dead baby is with me…

She's crying out in pain.

Someone hurt her.

Someone killed her.

And when I scream you are there

You are laughing at me

You are telling me that it was I

You are telling me that it is my hands that her blood is soaking

You are telling me lies

Her blood is on you

I can smell it in the air

She's bound here just as I am

The little…

Dying…

Baby girl…

Was she me?

Is that why I care?

Because I see within her broken body

My reflection lies in there?

Dead and dying still

Never recalled, never missed

Never free as my spirit longed to be…

But no…

Now my mind is telling me

That it is time to flee

That it is time to fly

That it is time.

And because…

This time I'm dying

This time my heart agrees

It is time

It is time to leave

My thanks hanyou

Now I'm free.

What do you think that she meant at the end there, "Now I'm free"? I'm interested to hear what you would think about
the subject. Poetry about Kagura fascinates me, she's just such a beyond amazing character. I know that a lot of people don't like her, but I find that I can identify her. Most of us can, I think that's why so many of us, even if we don't like her character, find that we have an almost morbid fascination with Kagura. We can each see a part of ourselves reflected in her. In my mind, she is one of the most powerful characters in this series. To me the anime is rather shallow, definitely less powerful then the manga, but I know that in the manga I always love the parts with Kagura. She is the wind.
