Title: Catalyst
Author: Lady Taevyn
Rating: K+
Pairing: House/Wilson
Summary: Wilson acts as a catalyst to get House to express his emotions.
Warning: Probably not the most in character, but whatever.
A/N: Watching too many angst-ridden H/W vids at You Tube inspired this.
Disclaimer: Not mine, I promise to put them back just the way I found them
James saw the pained expression that House tried to mask as he turned toward the window.
"Why do you do this?" The words slipped out before he had a chance to think about them.
Watching the rain pelting against the window Greg decided he was sick of hiding.
"It's what has always come easiest. I feel things and I don't know how to make them fit with everything else so…" He trailed off not even sure if what he'd said made sense.
"So you hide from them, hoping they'll just go away? You have to know that's not the way it works." He knew anger would just cause the other man to shut down, so he kept is tone even praying it would work.
"I'm a wreck, and you want to… what, you want to fix me, make it better? Hate to say it, but I think you're just a little late." House huffed a small sarcastic laugh. The great Dr. James Wilson boy-wonder oncologist was going to try to work through years of repressed emotions; this should be good for a laugh.
James sighed quietly, 'there go the walls' he thought to himself. He had one trick left up his proverbial sleeve; it was something he'd been taught years ago, in a psych class. Physical contact, it was thought could break down even the strongest barriers. He approached the other man silently, knowing House could see him in the window. When he was a fraction of an inch away, just enough so that his warmth could be felt James stopped.
Something passed between them in that moment when their eyes met in the reflective glass. As Greg turned a million emotions warred in his mind. The one he was left with when he finally faced his best friend, the one he showed was shown back to him.
Love.
End. Please let me know what you think. As this is my first attempt with these two. Should I give up? Please review.
