As soon as the boat scrapped the dock we were off. Hoard's of warriors in blue came running to us.
"HA! Look at these wimps!" I laid my Sea Master onto my shoulder and waited for them to come closer.
"Gan Ning! Nice of you to finally arrive." There goes the strategist Zhou Yu getting on my case again, "just don't get to careless this time."
When was the last time I got to careless? Oh well... doesn't matter. I started to run into the packs of attacking Wei shoulders, the light jingle of my bells singled my men to follow.
My sword hit one guy after the other, soaking the ground with there crimson blood. Finally I found a lowly officer, probably still no match for me though.
"HA! So you think you can take on the great Gan Ning huh? Don't make me laugh!"
"I, Lu Ju, shall be your doom!" I had to laugh at his words, though I should give him credit for trying.
Lu Ju held a puny pike in his hands, and he was fat! Now if his fatness was speed, I might actually be afraid!
I made a attempt at attacking, but he dead locked with me.
"So your a pirate? No wonder why I never thought pirates were very threatening." Lu Ju laughed in my face, I returned with the coldest glare I could muster. No one and I mean NO ONE laughs at the great Gan Ning!
"I'll show you what being a pirates all about." I kicked him in the stomach and made a quick and easy slice to the neck. "Ha! That was too easy."
A group of arrows flew pasted my head. I whipped around to see a big group of archers standing by a tree.
"Hmp. I hate archers." I began to move to them, dodging arrows on my way. A big group of peons appeared near them, of course I would take care of them first. I turned my back to the archers, but I turned too fast. I tripped over a dead body and lost my balance. I tried to break my fall but I fell too fast. My knees hit first, one of them landed o n the sharp blade of a sword, I felt the warmth of my own blood as it slowly seeped out the wound. "Damn... This'll slow me down too much." A shooting pain ran from the wound as I tried to stand. I grabbed hold of a nearby tree and stood.
I felt something cold dig into my side, my hands found a dagger from a near by peon sticking from my rib cage.
"No..." I suddenly felt weak and could hardly hold my weight, I leaned against the tree. I looked at my hands, it's been awhile since I saw my own blood on them.
I heard a snap of an arrow being let loose, it found my foot dead on, I cringed in pain. But I could no longer feel my own blood all I could feel is cold. Another snap, I looked up to see and arrow flying right for my head, I was too weak to move from the impact.
My vision filled with darkness, but through I saw the lands of Wu one last time.
