Each step a resounding echo,
A blatant contrast to the enveloping everlasting silence of the shattered world,
My whispers dance in a fiery passion,
Cutting through the thick black of the abysm, by name reality
My thoughts set ablaze for that which forsakes my desire.
It is here in this place I stand
That I am finally able to visualize the bitter truth I love,
It is here that I read these lines that hold what remains of my heart.
My eyes drift over the dim light of what is left of life.
Indeed, the very pretense that is us: Humanity.
Am I but part of that which is primal or is this part of me?
It is here in this room,
I know,
I am free,
I now see:
The peace that only the dead can find.
