Kay, here's a little short.

Disclaimer: I doubt anyone would think I'm creative enough to come up with such a brilliant idea like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but just in case, they're not mine!

Keeping low to the ground, he crept closer. The light from the candles emitted shadows across the room. They only made his job easier.

The creature, sitting before me, took a deep relaxing breath, and then he slowly let it out.

He licked his sharp, pointed teeth. His target looked amusing if not delicious…

Master Splinter flicked an ear and sighed at the noise coming from the main room. He slowly opened an eye. What were his sons doing?

Did his prey seriously think it could get away? He soundlessly took another step forward. He mustn't be detected. Any noise at all would betray him.

The candle kept flickering.

His body was alert and his spine tensed. He watched his target move slightly with its long body exposed...

Thump!

"Agh!"

"ME-OW!"

The turtles looked at their Sensei's door with alarmed expressions. The brothers dropped whatever they were doing, pulled out their weapons, and hustled to their father's door. However, before they could enter to aid him, the door slid open.

Master Splinter looked at his students with an expression that was a mixture of bemusement and annoyance. "Michelangelo"

Mike held his arms out, and Splinter deposited something in his hands.

"My son, this has to be stopped," Splinter said sternly. After all, it was the fourth time this month.

Mikey nodded meekly. "Yes, Sensei"

As Splinter turned back into his room, Klunk yowled. He did not appreciate being held for so long. Splinter paused and continued into his room. Several large angry scratches were visible on the end of his tail.

Someday, Klunk could get into serious trouble if he didn't learn that Master Splinter's tail wasn't a string to practice pouncing with.
