He remembered that warmth. They all did. That is where their memories were kept, and where they now lived. Deceased, one might call it, but they called it an afterlife, something not of anguish, but of opportunity. Ventus walked the lone beach of Sora's memories, his memories, and the memories of all beings connected by such. It was a long and complicated story. He was of the occasional few that wound up here not dead, but in slumber. That one day Sora opened up his heart, everyone was destined to find their way here. It was a peaceful place. Vanitas was here long before him, and being the evil being he was, he did not like this place at all. He treated Ventus and the others who wound up here. For him, it was a new life.

The best thing about it was that whoever ended up here next was not only connected to Sora, but to you, too. He received word from Terra's lost soul that Aqua was still astray in the Realm of Darkness, searching for them. I bet you're wondering why Terra's here, huh? See, when New Xehanort became a Nobody, Terra's heart began to wander hopelessly, close to the point where Kingdom Hearts almost absorbed it and claimed it as its own. But Sora's heart was warm, open, just like it always had been, and they joined, and the darkness in Terra's heart disappeared. Eventually, Aqua would perish and return back to them. It was indeed an unbreakable connection, one they were sure to keep. The only bad thing was that this was a world of their own, their making.

Several others made it here, too; Roxas, Xion, Axel, and even Vanitas. Yes, Vanitas, always stirring up trouble. Whatever he wanted, he would get it... then lose it because the light in Sora's heart literally punched him in the face.

But, hey, that was life for ya. A happy ending for everyone.

Now, what is it they did in this new life, you ask? What normal people do on their lonesome. They make friends. They smile. Eat ice-cream, everything of the like. Maybe explore. Exchange a kiss or two for the loved ones.

It was a wonderful place to call home.

Ven felt a large hand touch his head, ruffling his hair characteristically, giving off that loving warmth it used to. He looked up and exchanged a smile with the big man above him. He smiled back, and kissed is forehead. If only Aqua were here to call them "the weirdest of brothers". Brothers didn't make love, Ventus and Terra talked so much, it was almost as if they were brothers. They had that connection, always arguing and making jokes.

"Terra... that tickles!" He blushed, pulling back and sticking out his tongue. Terra continued, kissing each of his cheeks then sitting down beside him. It was nice to be together again. Ven thought he would break again, being alone for ten years before Terra wound up next to him, asleep. It was the oddest thing, seeing someone appear like that. But it made him feel warm, smile.

There was no other word but nice.

And that was how he felt now.

"...Could you do that again?" He asked shyly, leaning on the shoulder of his companion.

And he did. Again and again and again. Until they were tired. Then they slept, comfortably, in this mystical warmth. A different warmth. The warmth of love.

A/N: Terra made me do it.
