The first time we met was at a coffee shop on Main Street. It was two blocks away from my small apartment complex on West Avenue. The coffee shop was a Starbucks that was warm and toasty unlike the usual London weather in the winter. The shop wasn't a restaurant size but not as small as the ones you find in malls either. It was somewhere in between the two. The shop had several small two seat tables and a few four seat tables. The counter was long with three cash registers and a waiting counter.
It had been snowing outside, and my tan suede boots were flaked with snow around the edges and some on the top edge of the boots. The snow on the top made my light blue jeans look even lighter and added a somewhat faded look. I was wearing my off white coat, which the snowflakes blended in perfectly with. The coat draped just past my hips and had a belt across my rib cage. My pale skin was a light pink around my cheeks and nose. It complemented my icy blue eyeshadow and pale pink lipstick perfectly. My whitish-blonde hair was in my signature loose braid crossing over my right shoulder.
I shucked off my coat revealing a pale blue V-neck sweater that was only a teeny bit revealing. I draped my coat over a chair at an empty table and walked up to the counter already knowing what I was ordering. It was the same thing everyday, a carmel iced frappe mocha with whipped cream and toffee crumble. It was delicious and the perfect way to start off my morning.
After I paid for my order I flipped out my iPhone with the icy blue case. I texted my brother Hans to discuss his crack addiction. It had kept getting worse and worse, and it was time someone in the family stepped in to help him. Of course though being stupid idiotic Elsa I walked to the counter while texting. I bumped straight into someone their Irish creme frappichino spilling everywhere.I wiped off my phone and slipped it back in my pocket. I clumsily said sorry while picking up the cup and lid. I stood up and finally looked at the person I bumped into.
She was a redhead with green eyes a light freckles across her peach skin. Her hair was I a loose ponytail on her left shoulder. She wore a red loose sweater with Fallout Boy across the front. They were one of my most favorite bands. She wore dark blue jeans and red converse. I told her I could pay for another one, even though she resisted I wouldn't take no for an answer.
We both took our drinks to my table and she grabbed her coat which odd enough was right next to my table. We talked and learned more about each other. Her name was Anna and oddly the more I got to know her the more I started to realize how beautiful she actually was.
"So Anna do you live near the coffee shop?"
"Oh yeah actually my house is right across from it. While the building is." She pointed to a brick building across the street which was a five story apartment building. "Your welcome to come over if you'd like." In just the few minutes we got to know each other she had already invited my to come to her house.
"Yeah that sounds nice." Then I remembered Hans. "Shoot I was supposed to talk to my brother today! Umm I'll give you my number and I can come over another time!" I grabbed a pen and paper out of my purse and scribbled my cell and home phone numbers down. I slid the paper to her out back on my coat and waved goodbye. She'd looked so disappointed it made me sorta depressed, but within two seconds I was out into the snow again heading to my apartment.
