After Chuck died I had a hard time being on the run. It wasn't like I could just quit the NSA. They would likely kill me especially because of the amount of information I had on them. I was doing fairly well staying off their radar.
After all I had spent most of my life being trained by these people. I knew how to stay away from detection. I was struggling pretty hard, but then I met Sam and Dean. They were on the run too and had been longer than anyone I had met. I had actually come across them a few times while looking at files.
They were really wanted in several places. I didn't know how to feel about it when Dean found me and took me in. He was nicer than any of the files we had on him told. They explained what they did and of course I was very skeptical and we didn't trust each other until I saw them go up against a demon. The black cloud that swarmed out of the body was unlike what I had ever seen.
It was crazy, but that was when I joined the hunt. The trained me on how to kill demons and how to tell if a human was possessed. Within a month I knew the basics and how to protect myself. Sam had taught me how to recite the latin to exercise a demon. Dean had taught me how to load a gun with salt and how to draw a pentagram right. They were good teachers and I couldn't wait to go up against a demon.
They failed to tell me it wasn't only demons that were out there. After we went after a ghost with a ax the two decided to let me read their dad's journal. It took me a long time to read it. Not all of it was in English and Dean helped with a lot of it.
Most of the time Sam would be out and I would be sitting on Dean's bed as I read and he would help me with anything I didn't understand. It became a regular thing for us. When Sam stepped out we would take our place on Dean's bed or mine and we would read. When I finished it the guys were proud, but I was more aware of the cruel world and what it held.
Sam's POV
"Hey Dean can I talk to you?" I ask once John steps out to grab food for us. "Yeah Sam what's up?" Dean asks as he comes over to where I am. "I'm going to be blunt okay? Do you like John?" I ask in a low whisper.
Dean opens his mouth and looks like e is going to deny it, but I give him a look and he shrugs "Yeah I guess I do." I smile at my brother. I knew there was heat between the two of them.
I just had to make 100% sure Dean felt for him. "Hey Dean, I'm cool with you guys being together, but give me heads up before anything happens." Dean takes a seat on his bed and thinks for a moment
"You know I'm not one to play games, so do you mind going out for a few hours? I'd like to try my hand at this thing with him." I give him a big smile and gather up a jacket and my phone before heading to the bar. I hoped he had more luck than I did.
