Zelda slowly snuck through her room and down into the main area of the castle, where should could secretly sneak out of the castle and meet Link one last time.

Meet me after dark again,

And I'll hold you.

Once she made it out, she saw the young Hylian sitting down staring up at the moon, waiting for her. Zelda walked over to Link and sat down next to him. "It's beautiful." she said.

Link looked over to her and nodded. "Yes, it is beautiful. Just like you." he said. She smiled and gently moved his hand over and rested it on hers.

Zelda smiled and looked down at her hand. She looked up at the moon. "I'm sorry I won't be able to stay here in Hyrule, this, my last night here." she said.

I am nothing more than to see you there.

And maybe tonight,

We'll fly so far away.

We'll be lost Before the Dawn.

"Yeah." Link said. He sighed. "Zelda, I'm sorry. I tried to defeat Ganondorf, but he--" Link began. Zelda stopped him.

"Let's not talk about our losses, Link. Let's just enjoy the time we have left together." Zelda said. She smiled and looked into Link's eyes. 'I'm sorry, Link. I don't want to leave you.' she thought.

Link looked into her eyes. "Zelda..." he said slowly.

If only night can you where I can see you,

My Love.

Then let me never wake again.

Zelda smiled. "I wish I didn't have to leave you." she said. She sighed. "After all we've been through." she said.

"I know." Link said.

"But there's one thing I want you to always remember. Even though we're not together in person, in spirit, I'll always love you..." Princess Zelda said. She didn't have enough time to take back what she said. She gasped. Instead, she blushed. "You think that's silly of me to say, don't you?" she asked.

And maybe tonight,

We'll fly so far away.

We'll be lost Before the Dawn.

"No, I don't. Because, Zelda, I love you, too." Link said. He slowly leaned in to kiss Zelda. And it worked. He kissed Zelda on the cheek, and she allowed it.

Zelda blushed again. "Thank you, Link." she said. Her eyes we're focused on the moon. "If only we could do something, like, get lost Before the Dawn comes. Not as in really get lost, but just in our souls." she said.

"I know what you mean. And maybe, tonight, we can do that. Just think about the good times." Link said slowly.

Somehow, I know that we can't wake again,

From this dream.
It's not real,

But it's ours.

Zelda nodded. "Almost everytime I saw you was a good time, Link." she said. She looked in her pocket and took out the Ocarina of Time. "Link, would...you like me to play my lull...our lullaby?" she asked.

Link smiled. "Sure, Zelda." he said.

Zelda slowly put the ocarina to her lips and started playing her song.

Maybe tonight,

We'll fly so far away.

We'll be lost Before the Dawn.

Link smiled as he watched her play to song so beautifully. Link lay down and started at the moon, while listening to her play. Although, during the song, Link fell asleep on accident.

Maybe tonight,

We'll fly so far away.

We'll be lost Before the Dawn.

Zelda looked down at him and smiled. She gently kissed him on the lips and put her ocarina back in her pocket. "Goodnight, Link. These last hours were the best." she said. She looked up at the rising sun. Zelda got up to her feet. "But the dawn has come, and it is time for me to go." she said sadly. Zelda walked back to the castle, and took one look back at Link. 'Goodbye, my Hero,' she thought. 'I'll never forget you.'
