"Mission complete. Get to extraction, Tenno." That was the last they heard from the Lotus.

It was supposed to be a simple spy mission. The plan was to break in, grab the data on Ambulas 2.0's schematics, and get out. The four Tenno were prepared for anything the Corpus had. Though they were rookies, they'd been through enough infiltrations to know this should've been easy.

Spy missions relied on subtlety for higher chances of success, so they packed light and stealthy this time. Not every mission goes according to plan, though. They thought the flickering light was just bad maintenance from Ordis. The Cephalon did seem to have a few screws loose, and it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think an error was made. The second time their HUDs started flickering black, they knew something was wrong, and they knew they weren't prepared for an encounter like this.

Signaling his fellow Tenno to regroup, the Loki tried to find sanctuary in a small storage room. He thought he might have the advantage of stealthily shooting down their assailant before it got the chance.

"You can't run from your past." He heard the whisper from behind him a second too late as a black scythe came down on his head.

The Ash was the first to notice the disappearance of their squad member. Quickly regrouping with his teammates, he threw down a smoke screen for cover, only for the squad to be assaulted by violent whispers. The puffs of smoke disappeared instantly, replaced by throwing knives whizzing through the air and puncturing Ash's arms. As they all ducked for cover, Rhino provided covering fire. Dragging the collapsed Ash behind a Corpus locker, Mag raised her hand to polarize his shields, only for a bladed arrow to fly straight through her chest.

Realizing that staying there would be suicide, the Rhino made a dash for the extraction point. Though his teammates wouldn't survive, he still had a chance to make it out alive. Sprinting through Neptune's snow-covered plain, he spotted his Liset in the distance. With panic clouding his thoughts, he never noticed his Iron Skin instantly falling apart, nor the glowing scythe rushing in a straight line. As the Rhino collapsed on the snow a bloody heap, he sensed the dark blade being pulled from his chest, hearing his executioner for the last time.

"It is done. Justice is served."
